Talking ChangeLet’s talk a little about change. Don’t make a big deal out of change. It’s happening all the time anyway. Most of the business of change is attitudinal. First, give yourself permission to adapt. So you didn’t do it right. So what? You learn your lessons and you move on. See change as important but not serious. Don’t make change into a personal issue or problem. If you can do something about something than do that. If you cannot do something now, don’t make it into a problem. Secondly, don’t look for the bad in the change. Be open minded enough to try something, more than once, and focus on what works before you pass judgement. By all means, note what does not work and when appropriate make small adjustments within the big change. Share your experiences with your colleagues. No change, no matter how perfectly planned or expensive will ever be perfect. Even if it does solve all the problems for which it was intended, it will in itself, create different obstacles and problems. And this is simply how it is whether it is a personal change or a company wide culture change. Nothing in our entire universe is static; it is always on the move including organizations and the people who make them up. Improve, make adjustments, improve, make adjustments. There are no comments attached to this item. New Comment - Have Your Say
